What is ClioCache?
ClioCache is a subscription service that helps you preserve your memories by sending you monthly or annual packages containing writing prompts, high-quality paper, and a return envelope to capture your thoughts and reflections.
How does the subscription work?
Depending on your subscription, you will receive a regular, created package designed to inspire your writing. Once you have written your entry, place it in the prepaid return envelope, and send it back to us. We securely store your entries for you.
Is there a limit to how many entries I can send?
It will depend on the frequency of your subscription. There is no limit to how long you continue with your subscription however you can only send one entry per subscription cycle.
How are my writings stored?
Your diary entries are stored safely and securely in a fireproof, environmentally controlled facility to ensure they remain preserved for years to come. We do not open your return envelopes.
What happens if I want my entries back?
When you are ready to receive your entries, simply email us your delivery address, and we’ll send them back to you at no extra cost.
What should I write about?
You can write about anything that is meaningful to you. We provide thoughtful writing prompts in each package to inspire you.
Is shipping included in the subscription price?
Your subscription includes free postage, packaging, and delivery to the UK for both the packages you receive and when they are returned.
We reserve the right to amend the price of subscription as inline with inflation.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

What happens if I don’t pay for my subscription?
If your subscription is unpaid or inactive for 3 months, we will attempt to contact you through the email address linked with your account. After a further month we will attempt to contact your nominee. You or your nominee have 6 months from the date of the last payment to request a ‘CacheOut’ and retrieve your stored memories. After this period, if no payment or CacheOut request is received and we have been unable to contact you or your nominee, all stored entries will be irrecoverably destroyed, with no obligation for reimbursement of your subscription fees.
How does ClioCache protect my privacy?
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data during transfer and secure facilities to store your physical entries. Physical entries returned to you remain sealed and are never opened or read by ClioCache staff. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
What personal information does ClioCache collect?
We collect personal details such as your name, contact information, payment data, and usage data (via cookies). For a detailed breakdown, visit our Privacy Policy.
How can I manage my data or opt out of certain uses?
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data, and you can opt out of targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@cliocache.com
Can I use my own paper or entries instead of the ones provided?
To ensure the security and tracking of your submissions, only entries returned to us using the provided ClioCache envelopes can be accepted. If we believe that your envelope contains any additional unapproved items, we will contact you and may return the envelope to you.
Are there age restrictions for using ClioCache?
You must be at least 16 years old or have parental or guardian consent to use ClioCache. If you would like to purchase a subscription for someone under 16 years of age, please email us at contact@cliocache.com
What if my package is lost during transit?
While we take every precaution to ensure safe delivery, ClioCache cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged during transit. If you encounter an issue, please contact customer support for assistance.
Can I use ClioCache internationally?
ClioCache does not offer international shipping. This service is only for UK customers
How often can I retrieve my stored entries?
You can request a CacheOut whenever you are ready to retrieve your memoirs. This request is included in your subscription at no extra cost. You cannot send your ClioCache envelopes back to us after you have received your CacheOut
Will ClioCache ever open my envelopes?
We will never open your ClioCache envelopes unless there is a court request to do so or a criminal investigation with a warrant.
How long will ClioCache retain my entries?
ClioCache retains your entries for the duration of your active subscription. If your subscription becomes inactive and we cannot contact you or your nominee, entries are stored for up to 6 months, after which they may be irrecoverably destroyed unless a ‘CacheOut’ is requested.
What is a Nominee and why do I need one?
You will need to designate a trusted individual who can request to receive your letters if you become unable to do so yourself. Once you have informed your chosen nominee and obtained their consent, please provide us with their name and email address via email within one month of starting your subscription.
Please note that we will only ever send your CacheOut to you or your officially designated nominee, as per the email address provided. If you wish to update your nominee, it is your responsibility to notify us accordingly.
